In partnership with the Conseil régional d’Ile-de-France, the Shoah Memorial organizes several theme-based training sessions throughout the year for teachers, principals, research assistants and librarians who want to improve their knowledge about the Holocaust and the genocides of the 20th century.
Examples of the themes studied during these training days:
- The genocides of the 20th century
- Nazi crimes against Jews – From decision to implementation
- Vichy and its vocabulary
- The power of biology and criminal medicine from 1930-1940
- The Holocaust: an object of history and pedagogy
- Representations of the Holocaust in literature, cinema and comic books.
- The aftermath of the Holocaust in France: reconstruction, trials, commemoration
- The genocides of the 20th century and negationists
- Jewish assistance, rescue and resistance during the Holocaust
- Judeophobia, the violence of war as the backdrop to disaster.
