The project « Overcoming 20th century historical traumas » was funded with the support of the European Union under the Programme “Europe for Citizens”, Strand 1 – “European Remembrance”.

It aimed at tackling historical disputes between neighboring European countries, by taking the Holocaust as a starting point. It also intended to bring together teaching audiences around common contemporary challenges such as conspiracy theories or anti-Gypsyism. Seven seminars were organized in 2019 and 2020 by the Mémorial de la Shoah and its European partners ((ministry of education, NGO, museum), as well as online due to the COVID crisis. 268 teachers / educational staff coming from 12 European countries (Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, North Macedonia, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain) participated in these events.

Please find below the two sites dedicated to two online trainings where complete documentation was at the disposal of the trainees, as well as a forum for meeting and dialogue.
