VISIT THE MUSEUM
  The permanent exhibition offers a chronological and thematic visit depicting the history of Jews in France during the Shoah. Based on the archives of the documentation center, the museum is accessible to any kind of public.

Born in 1903, Irene Nemirovsky was fifteen when the revolutionary troubles drove his family from Russia. It was in Paris at the age of eighteen that she published her first stories.

EXHIBITION : THE JEWS OF BERLIN, 1933-1941, PHOTOGRAPHS BY ABRAHAM PISAREK

The Shoah Memorial presents an exhibition of approximately sixty of Abraham Pisarek’s photographs, as well as archive documents recounting Jewish life in Berlin between 1933 and 1941.

A visit for children

The Shoah Memorial team has prepared a guided tour of the permanent exhibition on the history of Jews in France during WWII in order to meet the special needs and sensitivity of children aged 8-12.  
Orange markers lead the children to the most appropriate documents: photographs, recordings and film extracts.
     
 
Guided tour in English

For the benefit of a growing number of English-speaking visitors, the Shoah Memorial is organizing on the second Sunday of every month, a guided tour in English, free of charge. Start of the tour at 3.00 pm in the lobby. Prior reservation is not required.

Nota Bene

The word "Holocaust" is commonly used in english speaking countries, whereas the Hebrew word "Shoah" which means "catastrophe" is used in France.
