On this map, the representation of the main sites of massacres does not meet any claim to exhaustiveness. Inscribing all the killing sites in space and in a detailed chronology is a colossal undertaking, given their number and diversity.
It shows in particular the extent of the extermination campaign throughout the country, and the diversity of sites (religious buildings, hospitals, schools, marshes and hydrological network).
Finally, the indications on the movements of the front during the struggle between the Rwandan Patriotic Front (FPR) and the Rwandan Armed Forces (FAR) testify to the priority given to the genocide project over the conduct of military operations.
