The specificities of the genocide of the Tutsi

Everyday objects found at killing sites and in mass graves are evidence of the eruption of genocide into daily life and provide information on the identity of victims: combs, prayer books, rosaries, shoes. They also sometimes allow survivors to recognize the bodies of their own in the places where they were murdered.
