Other everyday places, such as schools and hospitals, become spaces of transgression and desecration. It is all the common spaces, symbolic places of a shared social space, that are outraged.
Between 35,000 and 40,000 people were killed during the night of 21 to 22 April 1994, inside the official technical school in Murambi.
