This explosion of violence took as its text the assassination of a secretary of the German Embassy in Paris, Ernst vom Rath by Herschel Grynzpan, a young Polish Jew of German origin. Orchestrated by Goebbels, Minister of Nazi propaganda, the instructions given to the different organs of the party are clear: loot, set on fire, destroy Jewish institutions and private goods of the community, by making believe a movement of the population.
The Kristallnacht pogrom aims to push German Jews to flee en masse. The objective is achieved. The number of candidates for migration is serious, but beyond the indignation that the event raises in the world, the front lines remain closed.
This absence of sanctions against Nazi Germany leaves all fields free Hitler to make the Reich free from Jews.
