The specificities of the genocide of the Tutsi
The places of massacre
Unlike the genocide of the Jews, the physical annihilation of the Tutsi was not concentrated on large killing sites that could correspond to Nazi extermination camps or ghettos in Eastern Europe. The planned assassination of the Tutsi took place in the everyday space, on a street corner, in familiar and even sacred places, until then synonymous with sanctuaries and asylums.
The Tutsi are put to death throughout Rwanda. However, some assembly points concentrate areas of abuse.
