the Shoah Memorial organizes, in partnership with the Île-de-France Regional Council, study trips to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.
The high school students who take part in these days of remembrance are supervised by historians from the Memorial and accompanied by former deportees, direct witnesses to the Nazi project of destruction of the Jews of Europe, a crime without precedent in the history of humanity. These trips are an opportunity for them to understand, appropriate and transmit the memory of the genocide.
Upon their return, students are invited to carry out a collective educational project in order to communicate their experience to their classmates within their institutions. Their works are also presented through a traveling exhibition called "High school vision of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp".
