Regional partnerships

The programme of study trips to Auschwitz, developed by the Shoah Memorial on the initiative of the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, is organised in partnership with local and regional authorities, as well as numerous local education authorities.

These partnerships aim to associate these institutions, according to their respective fields of expertise, in the monitoring and promotion of educational projects. They may take several forms, including financial support or joint dissemination of programme information.

During the 2005-2006 school year, the regional councils of Poitou-Charentes, Pays-de-la-Loire, Midi-Pyrénées and the city of Grenoble participated in the program, as did the rectorats of Poitiers, Nantes and Montpellier.

In 2006-2007, the initiative was supported by the regional authorities of Besançon, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Lyon, Nantes, Poitiers, Reims, as well as by the regional councils of Champagne-Ardenne, Midi-Pyrénées, Pays-de-la-Loire, Poitou-Charentes, from Rhône-Alpes and the city of Grenoble.
