Regional partnerships

The program of study trips to Auschwitz, developed by the Holocaust Memorial at the initiative of the Foundation for the Memory of the Holocaust, is organized in partnership with local and territorial authorities, as well as many rectorates.

These partnerships aim to involve these institutions, according to their respective fields of competence, in the monitoring and evaluation of educational projects. They can take several forms, including financial support or joint dissemination of the programme’s information elements.

During the 2005-2006 school year, the regional councils of Poitou-Charentes, Pays-de-la-Loire, Midi-Pyrénées and the city of Grenoble participated in the programme, as did the rectorates of Poitiers, Nantes and Montpellier.

In 2006-2007, the initiative was supported by the rectorates of Besançon, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Lyon, Nantes, Poitiers, Reims, as well as by the regional councils of Champagne-Ardenne, Midi-Pyrénées, Pays-de-De-Paristhe Loire, Poitou-Charentes, Rhône-Alpes and the city of Grenoble.
