Pedagogical projects of the year 2005-2006: videos

The study trip to Auschwitz is an opportunity to film images of the camp and to film the testimony of former deportees. Upon return, after editing and recording audio comments, the films are shown to other classes or at meetings open to the public. They allow students to share their experience, and thus constitute an important medium for exchange and reflection.

In the footsteps of Eva Hellmann

In June 1942, a young high school student from Chartres was arrested after completing a baccalaureate exam because she was Jewish. More than 60 years later, students of Terminale L enrolled in the same school have reconstructed his journey and decided to pay tribute to him through a film soberly entitled Sur les traces d'Eva Hellmann.

From the heart’s point of view, say the unsayable

In the footsteps of Marthe Lewinski

Near La Rochelle, in 1942, a young Jewish girl from Lorraine, Marthe Lewinski, was arrested with her parents and older sister. Interned at the Poitiers camp, then transferred to Drancy, she was deported to Auschwitz by convoy no. 36 on 23 September 1942. The third-grade students at the Fabre d'Eglantine middle school in La Rochelle reconstructed his journey from testimonies and archival documents, and made a film: In the footsteps of Marthe Lewinski. On 8 May 2006, a plaque in memory of Marthe Lewinski was unveiled at her former school.
