Educational projects for the year 2006-2007: websites

Most schools have a website on which an account of the study tour. Auschwitz can easily be posted. Many classes also choose to create a site dedicated solely to their project. It contains detailed information on Auschwitz, historical summaries, photographs of the camp and personal testimonies of the students. Before being broadcast, the content must be approved by the teaching team.

Auschwitz. Memory and history.

Before leaving for Poland to cover the site of Auschwitz, the students from Terminale ES at Cholet’s Lyc and Europe Robert Schuman carried out research at the municipal archives, tudi a set of documents and drawings, watched films and analyzed works by historians. After their return, they built a blog and intervened in several classes at the high school. The class work was presented to the parents of the ves on April 26, 2007.

Montauban - Auschwitz: notebook of m moires

Ad le Kurzweil, the city of Michelet in Montauban, was taken from Auschwitz with his parents on September 9, 1942 (convoy no. 30). For more than 60 years after his death, students from the first generation enrolled in the museum have followed his path and created a local history project on the Shoah in Tarn-et-Garonne. A blog entitled Montauban-Auschwitz: carnets de m moire retraces the course of their research from the study of the anti-Jewish laws of Vichy to the cover of the ruins of Birkenau.

Auschwitz

After the study trip in which they participated, on December 6, 2006, the students of Terminale ES from the high school teacher Jean Mac from Niort received an exhibition, a film, research, personal texts in English and a translation from a text by Jean-Claude Grumberg. A synth about their work was posted on the website of the school.

Morial plate from the rock

At the entrance of the school of Marie de Champagne in Troyes, a memorial plaque pays tribute to the teachers and the victims of the Second World War. Six of them were carrying and murdering because they were Jewish. The website created by the class of 1 re L who visited Auschwitz on 8 February 2007 reveals their individual destinies and traces the history of the Trojan Jewish community from 1940 to 1944.

Study trip to Poland at the Auschwitz camp / Writing the Holocaust

Upon returning from the study trip on March 19, 2007, the sisters of the first division of the school Pierre Mend s-France at La Roche-sur-Yon posted photographs of the Auschwitz camp on their website. They carried out research in the archives of several institutions, studied literary and artistic works, and created an exhibition on the theme "Writing the Shoah".

Travel: Auschwitz for the first weeks

After the study trip of December 20, 2006, the lives of the first lieutenant of Henri Vincenot from Louhans were published as a series of photographs of the Auschwitz camp on their website. An exhibition and slideshows were shown to the public during the day, Portes ouvertes, from the Lycée, on March 16, 2007.

After the coverage of the Auschwitz site, the high school seniors from Europe to Montebello in Lille received personal texts and created a blog to share their findings.
