Educational projects of the year 2007-2008: slideshows

After the study tour, students are asked to present their project to other classes in the high school. These oral interventions are most often based on slideshows made from photographs of the camp. Each image is the subject of a commentary, prepared with the teachers, which sheds historical light on the discovered sites and the organization of the Auschwitz complex. Other slideshows, involving specific evaluation and follow-up, are carried out as part of the Supervised Personal Works (TPE).

Study trip, Auschwitz

Two lives of the lyc e Aubanel d'Avignon, Betty Hillel and Jeanine Loewenberg, were carried out and murdered at Auschwitz in 1943 and 1944. On the occasion of this event, the 1st ES class assisted by a screening of the film La petite prairie aux bouleaux and met the actress, Marceline Loridan-Ivens, she left me in Avignon in 1944, then in port at Auschwitz in convoy no. 71. To prepare for the study trip, the students consulted documents in the Vaucluse Regional Archives and visited the synagogue of Avignon. On March 13, 2008, they covered the Auschwitz site with another demonstration of convoy no. 71, which was also stopped by Ginette Kolinka in Avignon. Upon their return, they received an exhibition, which was presented during the open day of the festival and a slideshow recounted the progress of their entire project.
