Educational projects of the year 2010-2011: EXHIBITIONS

Being Jewish Pornic under the Occupation

To cover and teach the history of the Shoah through the history of one’s city, it is the step adopted by the two teachers of the high school in the Pays de Retz to raise awareness among their students of 1 re STG.
By consulting the administrative archives, this class has put into light the journeys of several families living in Pornic, most of whose members were arrested during the roundup on July 16 and 17, 1942, and from port s by convoy no. 8 from the station of Angers.
The work involves as much as possible from families: Angel, Aaron, Rosenthal, Cerf-Seidengart, Kolp-Marx and Simon. Others are yours but as they were no longer Pornic and did not stop you, the choice of not presenting them in this document was made.
