«D'Ecommoy à Auschwitz: Le destin des Banda»

With the help of their teacher, Yves Moreau, historian who worked on the history of the Jews in the Sarthe department archives and Laurent Million, comic strip artist, the class of 1st vocational baccalaureate decided to create seven boards of comic-drawn to tell the story of Simone Banda and her parents during the war. They thus illustrate the fate of several hundred families decimated and destroyed during the Second World War. Simone’s parents were arrested, interned at the Major Seminary of Angers and deported by convoy No. 8 on July 20, 1942. Simone, as for her, was hidden and thus survived. She now lives in Metz.
