"From Ecommoy to Auschwitz: The Fate of the Banda"

With the help of their teacher, Yves Moreau, a historian who has worked on the history of the Jews in the Sarthe department archives, and Laurent Million, a comic strip artist, the class at the 1st vocational baccalaureate decided to create seven comic strips.drawn to tell the story of Simone Banda and her parents during the war. They thus illustrate the fate of several hundred families decimated and destroyed during the Second World War. Simone’s parents were arrested, interned at the Grand Séminaire d'Angers and deported by convoy no. 8 of 20 July 1942. Simone, for her part, was hidden and thus survived. She now lives in Metz.
