Du Luberon, Auschwitz, from 1942, 2012: Comprendre pour demain.
The high school seniors from the Durance du Pertuis high school worked on the history of the Shoah in their department. Following research at the Partemental Archives, they traced the fate of Erich Meyer in port by convoy 29 on September 7, 1942. Accompanied by their history-geography and philosophy teachers, they chose several media to present their coverings and reflections in their teaching: a website, an art exhibition, as well as a drawing strip. The graphic novel is the result of a group effort between the writers, a colorist, and an artist. D Avranches, Auschwitz
It was around the life of Estelle Rosenthal that the students of the school, Littr and Avranches, built their project to create a strip drawing of 30 boards (each student wrote and drew one board). Estelle has only a few days when her father is arrested in Avranches before being deported to Auschwitz. Three months later, her mother, her father, and she-m are also with me. Extracted from prison, Estelle is taken in by the Thomas family (recognized as Righteous Among the Nations after the war), while her mother and brother Jacques are in port s their turn. Estelle has grown up, Avranches o, she has seen the lyc e Littr.
