Encyclopedia of the Holocaust

The Holocaust Multimedia Encyclopedia brings together more than 300 articles on the history of the destruction of the Jews in Europe. Each entry, which deals with an aspect of the Holocaust, is illustrated by photos, video testimonies, objects, maps (animated or fixed), individual destinies.

Produced in partnership with the Holocaust Memorial Museum of Washington, D.C., the Multimedia Encyclopedia of the Shoah is regularly enriched by new articles dealing with the French specificity of the Shoah.

The anti-Semitic legislation of the Vichy government, the fate of the Jews in the big cities of France, the institutions set up by the French state (U.G.I.F., C.G.Q.J., I.E.Q.J.), the trials of the collaborators, the French internment camps, are among the items that will be available soon.

Several tools complete this exceptional database: A comparative chronology, a synthesis of the key dates of the genocide, A glossary, accessible from all screens of the site of the Holocaust Memorial, a selection of reference texts.
