The Mémorial de la Shoah organizes about ten one-day study trips to the Auschwitz camp for high schools in Île-de-France and several French regions. These trips are supervised by historians of the Memorial. Each year, the work of the students who went to the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp can be consulted on the mini-website entitled "Study trips to Auschwitz".
These trips are intended for students in the first and final years of public and private education under contract. They are aimed only at entire classes, accompanied by two teachers, on the principle of voluntary service. It is up to each teaching team to carry out an educational project in which the study trip is included (exhibition, writing workshop, DVD, website, play...). The Shoah Memorial supports the classes selected in the implementation of this project.

Information
Three one-day study trips are organized for 24 French high schools, with 20 people per institution (18 students and 2 teachers). The selected institutions must select the high school students by asking them, for example, to write a cover letter addressed to the educational team. The participating students are welcomed at the Memorial for a preparation of the study trip, then are invited to carry out a collective educational project (taking the form of an exhibition panel) in order to communicate their experience to their classmates. These panels will then constitute the travelling exhibition
«An incredible experience, also as a history professor, because the course is anchored in space both in Paris (the question of memory) and in Poland (facts and traces) in a European dimension»
