with the pantheon
From history to memory
For CM1 and CM2 students, Paris
This journey offers a reflection on the construction of collective memory. At the Memorial, the students first discover the exclusion of Jews from France through the fate of the Jacob family. They also discover the work of memory, privileged by Simone Veil at the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, by valuing the Righteous among the nations. The visit to the Pantheon, temple of the Great Men and Women, allows us to shed light on this slow and complex recognition, by recalling the founding values and principles of the nation, from the Revolution to the present day.
