1944-1945: the end of the war on the CNRD program 2021-2022
This round table proposed as part of the National Competition for Resistance and Deportation (CNRD) by the Association of History and Geography Teachers (APHG) is in resonance with the 2021-2022 theme of the CNRD: "
This theme invites teachers and students to study the interactions of the military, political, ideological and human aspects that marked the end of the conflict, in an approach consistent with the spirit of the Competition, which can be illustrated, notably, by a study at the local level.
Moderated by Marc Charbonnier, editor-in-chief of the journal Historians & Geographers – general secretary of the APHG.

Teaching the history of the genocide of the Tutsi in middle and high schools
Proposed by the Shoah Memorial
Following the release of the Duclert report and the renewal of Franco-Rwandan relations, it is interesting to look at the current events concerning the genocide of the Tutsi, both in historiographical terms and in terms of research perspectives. On the other hand, this news forces us to reflect on what makes it essential to teach about the genocide of Tutsi but also to propose pedagogical avenues that can be used by teachers as part of school programs.

Tribute to Samuel Paty: teaching secularism and freedom of expression in middle school and high school
Proposed by the APHG This round table aims to pay tribute to Samuel Paty, a history-geography teacher murdered on October 16, 2020 for having trained his students in critical thinking and presented in class caricatures of Muhammad as part of a course of moral and civic education (EMC) : how, after the assassination of Samuel Paty, to teach freedom of expression and secularism? To what extent does this particularly tragic event question teaching practices and relationships with students/parents of students? How to teach cartoons in class after Samuel Paty?
