New Artistic Competition!

Level: CM2 or CM1-CM2 classes

For this first edition, the Paris Shoah Memorial is organizing the competition:

«Draw their memory»

20 YEARS SINCE THE RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE ENTERED THE PANTHEON

Its aim is to pass on the history of the Shoah through various archival documents and the precious words of those who lived through this period.

The classes are invited to create one or more artistic productions retracing the story of a Holocaust survivor, on the theme: "The Children Saved by the Righteous Among the Nations (1942–1945)".

In this context, the Shoah Memorial proposes:

• a workshop visit to the Shoah Memorial in Paris, centered on the life of the witness;
• an indoor activity at the Shoah Memorial in Paris: discover a filmed testimony.

In order to ensure the best support, the Memorial teams will organize various meetings throughout the project.

Registration is open until 31 October 2026.

The first workshop-visit will take place on 18 January 2027, twenty years after the entry of the Righteous in France into the Pantheon. The closing ceremony of the competition will take place on June 7, 2027, before a jury composed of artists, members of the National Education and representatives of the Shoah Memorial. During this ceremony, the classes will be able to meet and exchange with the witnesses present.
