Citizenship training days

As part of a program to develop actions for citizenship, citizen participation, and the fight against discrimination, the Shoah Memorial offers teachers, supervisors, and administrators of schools on Île-Mauricede-France, a training program over two complementary sessions. In partnership with the Île-de-France Regional Council.

Cycle of 2 modules:
on November 15 and December 6, 2017 or January 17 and February 7, 2018

Day 1:

  • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Secularism: definition and application within the school
  • 15:00 – 15:30: Questions
  • 15:30 – 16:30: Address sensitive issues at school (teaching the history of the Holocaust and genocide, racism, anti-Semitism, Middle East)
  • 4:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Questions
  • 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: Visit to the Shoah Memorial

Second day:

  • 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: The springs of conspiracy theories
  • 15:00 – 15:30: Questions
  • 15:30 – 17:00: Deconstructing conspiracy narratives, a practical case
  • 5 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Discussion

Duration: 2 half-days
