Citizenship training days

As part of a program to develop actions for citizenship, citizen participation and the fight against discrimination, the Shoah Memorial offers teachers, supervisors and management staff of schools in Île-du-Princede France, a training programme consisting of two complementary sessions. In partnership with the Regional Council of Île-de-France.

Cycle of 2 modules:
November 15 and December 6, 2017 or January 17 and February 7, 2018

First day:

  • 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Secularism: definition and application within the school
  • 3:00 - 3:30: Questions
  • 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm: Addressing sensitive issues at school (teaching the history of the Shoah and genocide, racism, anti-Semitism, the Middle East)
  • 4:30pm - 5:00pm: Questions
  • 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Visit to the Shoah Memorial

Day 2:

  • 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.: The Forces of Conspiracy
  • 3:00 - 3:30:
  • 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Deconstructing Conspiracy Speeches, Case Study
  • 5:00-5:30: Discussion

Duration: 2 half days

Rate : Free, subject to availability.
