Every year, the Shoah Memorial organizes one-day visits to the site of Auschwitz-Birkenau, a concentration and extermination camp set up by the Nazis, where nearly one million Jews were murdered.
The day begins with a visit to Auschwitz II (Birkenau), the site where the killing facilities were located.
The afternoon is devoted to a visit of the site of Auschwitz I, which became a state museum after the war.
The trips are supervised by historians-companions of the Shoah Memorial.
A snack is served during the flights.
The participation of children under fifteen years old is discouraged.
