On the occasion of the commemorations of the 30th
This one brought together 17 participants, accompanied by Mathias Orjekh, coordinator of the study trips, and Marcel Kabanda, historian and president of Ibuka France.
The group was able to discover the main places of memory of the genocide, in particular the sites recently inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage (Gisozi, Nyamata, Murambi and Bisesero).
During the visits to these places, which have often been the scene of massacres perpetrated by the Rwandan army and Hutu militias, the history of genocide but also its genesis and the preservation of its memory were addressed by the various speakers.
