4th edition of the Forum Generations of the Shoah: Generations together! not to be missed!

The Forum Generations of the Shoah brings together for the fourth time at the Shoah Memorial, the generations who, marked by the Shoah in their families, wish to meet, share, witness, transmit. "The challenges of transmission" is the theme of this 4th Forum. A challenge is testing us, that of the transmission of the memory of the Shoah obliges us all.

For the generations marked by the Holocaust, the challenge is major. How can we continue to pass on the memory of our parents, which fades as time goes by?

The Forum is a unique opportunity to share experiences in order to enrich them, listen to survivors to immerse themselves in their experience, and show them that future generations are truly there and carry the torch of their parents' memory.

Can we say that roles are shared? What is the role of families? The role of historians, philosophers, archivists, and museums? That of doctors, activists, or even politicians? What are the possible relays? Music perhaps? Culture, art? And why not the kitchen? How did October 7, 2023, impact the transmission of the Holocaust?

The Forum evokes all this, anchored in today’s world, in a whirlwind of voices, music, storytellers.
