This issue on "Gender and the Shoah" aims to take stock of ongoing work in order to offer the French readership an overview of the renewal that the gender approach has brought to knowledge of the Shoah. In this, the notion of gender is understood as the social construction of the difference between the sexes and the power relationships that result from it. The issue will thus seek to clarify these interrelationships as well as the construction with regard to the identities of the actors, from the point of view of the victims but also of their persecutors without forgetting the
