Documents, books, newspapers, periodicals, remembrance books, testimonies, books in French, Hebrew, Yiddish and German: all the inventories of the library of the Centre de documentation juive contemporaine are available for download to the public. Plan your visit.

The library at the documentation centre of the Holocaust Memorial provides readers in the reading room with various inventories:

Inventory of press reviews and press clippings

These press reviews were developed for and by the Shoah Memorial around the various cultural events of the Shoah Memorial.
The magazines of press clippings are largely made up of the library of the Holocaust Memorial and cover various subjects.

The library of the Holocaust Memorial has also compiled an inventory of various German-language newspapers and periodicals. This non-exhaustive inventory of the collections of the Holocaust Memorial contains a brief description of the orientation of these newspapers and periodicals.

This inventory has been prepared by the SUDOC (Système universitaire de documentation). The records were made from data provided by the library of the Holocaust Memorial. It does not cover the completeness of the library’s holdings.

Since 2021, the Bibliothèque du Mémorial de la Shoah has been processing a collection of Les Eclaireurs israélites de France (monographs and periodicals).

How to consult the documents reported in these inventories?

Online inventories

For any document order please send your request to bibliotheque@memorialdelashoah.org specifying the type of document you want:

  • Press reviews or press clippings:
    Title of the press review or press clippings, box number, inventory number.
  • Periodicals in German language:
    Title of the periodical, Date and/or Issue.
  • Yizker Bikher / Souvenir books:
    Place name, Book of Remembrance (or Yizker Bukh) reference
  • Inventory of periodicals by SUDOC:
    Title of the periodical, Date and/or Issue.
  • Newspapers digitized in French can be consulted in the reading room, on computer station

Order books in Hebrew and Yiddish:

  • You can order them by writing to bibliotheque@memorialdelashoah.org or salleecture@memorialdelashoah.org, specifying the author, title, desired edition of the document as well as (essential) series reference and document number.
  • You can order them on site in the reading room by specifying the author, title, edition of the desired document, as well as (essential) series reference and document number.
  • Lead time: 10 days
