Have a good start to the 2018-2019 academic year!

2018 and 2017 saw the death of two major figures in the memory of the Shoah: Claude Lanzmann and Simone Veil. The void left by their disappearance shows once again the importance of the role of historians and teachers in the chain of teaching and transmission. That of the Memorial is also. It will be realized this year by diversifying and renewing a good number of our activities, promoting speech.

There will be discussions about new workshops, new courses, and new training programs for teachers at our various sites, as well as outside the building. With, in the background, ever more established partnerships with cultural and museum institutions but also with local authorities, allowing us to be present in many territories with a varied audience.

And beyond transmission, another equally important goal: to encourage students to decipher and uncover the pitfalls of propaganda, namely reading between the lines. Because the mission we wish to share with you is not only to bring young people into the field of history, but also on that of civic life, commitment and reflection on the humanistic values that unite us.
