Serbia: The Memorial co-organizes a training for 40 teachers

From 20 to 23 September 2017, the Shoah Memorial and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Serbia organized a training focused on mass atrocities in the Balkans at Nis in southern Serbia for 40 teachers.

Wednesday 13 September 2017, Bernard Beignier, Rector of the academic region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Rector of the academy of Marseille, Chancellor of the universities, Emmanuel Ethis, Rector of the academy of Nice, Chancellor of the universities, and Jacques Fredj, director of the Shoah Memorial have signed a partnership agreement aimed at enabling many staff from the national education system to be specifically trained in teaching the history of the Holocaust and the genocides of the 20th century.

Transnational seminar in Skopje for Macedonian and Bulgarian teachers

The Shoah Memorial organized in Skopje, from 29 August to 2 September 2017, a transnational seminar bringing together 40 Macedonian and Bulgarian teachers, in cooperation with the Memorial of the Jews of Macedonia, the ministries of education of the two committed countries, the association of history teachers of Bulgaria and the Macedonian ministry of foreign affairs.

Training seminar for Latvian teachers

The Shoah Memorial and the Ministry of Education of Latvia organized a training seminar for 50 teachers from 4 to 6 July 2017 at the Maison de l'Europe in Riga.

Future educators attended a training on genocides at the University of Barcelona

Nearly 40 students in education sciences and young researchers attended the training course "Genocides and mass atrocities."  Educational and pedagogical tools on history and memories" co-organized by the European Observatory of Memories of the Solidarity UB Foundation, the Shoah Memorial and the Research Group Teaching History, Geography and other Social Sciences from the University of Barcelona on May 11 and 12 in Barcelona.

Training seminar: "The Shoah in the Balkans"

From 25 to 28 April, a training seminar for teachers on the mass crimes of the Second World War in the Balkans was held at the Historical Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in Sarajevo.

Toulouse: inauguration of the workshops outside the walls and signing of an agreement

Côte d'Ivoire hosts the teaching of the Shoah
