France, documentary, 49 minutes, Les films Aleph, 2010. VOstfr
A member of the Polish resistance and an active witness to the genocide since the 1940s, Jan Karski is at the heart of a long and important sequence of Shoah (1985), before Claude Lanzmann later returns to the rushes of the interview for Le Rapport Karski (2010), produced in response to the novel Jan Karski by Yannick Haenel (2009). To make the original sequence and the subsequent film dialogue, allows us to apprehend this rich and paradoxical figure of testimony that crosses history and the arts, from cinema to literature through theater.
To complete, excerpt of 20 mn from Shoah by Claude Lanzmann (France, documentary, Les Films Aleph, 1985).
Single release on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
