Archive collection in Florida
The team from the Documentation Center of the Shoah Memorial went to Florida, in the United States, as part of an operation to collect family archives and testimonies, in order to preserve and transmit the documents.
The collection takes place from 10 to 12 February 2020, in Naples and Boca Raton. The team met 35 people whose stories are European and French. Among the first objects collected: original letters, passports, photo albums and personal items.

The Documentation Centre of the Memorial collects private archives (various papers, objects, photographs, films, books, newspapers) on the history of the Jews of France, North Africa and Europe during the Holocaust but also during the period from 1880 to 1948. We also collect testimonies, essential elements in the construction of the memory of the Shoah.
A permanence is ensured at the Mémorial de la Shoah in Paris every Tuesday afternoon, from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, without prior appointment. Attention, please consult the practical information before going to this permanence as it is not provided on certain public holidays. Collections are also held in the provinces and abroad.
