Educational continuity: activities to do with children

Every week, a new activity

Alongside teachers and parents, the Memorial remains committed to ensuring pedagogical continuity and making its resources accessible to as many people as possible.

This week, Le Grenier de Sarah offers an online educational activity to retrace the journey of Rachel Ségal-Jaeglé and her family.

Rachel was born in France to Polish parents. She was six when the war broke out. In 1941 his father was summoned for identity verification, arrested and sent to an internment camp in France; he was deported in 1942. Rachel escapes the great scoop of the Vél d'Hiv; she is welcomed by several families and will be protected until the end of the war.

Thanks to an educational tool adapted to their age and sensitivity, children will be able to navigate the site independently.  The mediation of adults will allow to answer their questions and to accompany them in the proposed approach.

Enjoy your visit!
