Educational continuity: activities to do with children

Every week, a new activity

Alongside teachers and parents, the Memorial remains mobilized to ensure educational continuity and make its resources accessible to as many people as possible.

This week, Le Grenier de Sarah is offering an online educational activity to trace the journey of Rachel Ségal-Jaeglé and her family. 

Rachel was born in France to Polish parents. She is six years old when the war breaks out. In 1941 his father was summoned for identity verification, arrested, and sent to an internment camp in France; he was deported in 1942. Rachel escapes the great roundup of the Vel d'Hiv; she is welcomed by several families and will be protected until the end of the war.

Thanks to an educational tool adapted to their age and sensitivity, children will have the possibility to navigate autonomously on the site.  The mediation of adults will make it possible to answer their questions and to accompany them in the proposed approach.
