EDITORIAL

I am pleased to present the program of the Memorial for the second quarter of 2022, which is very long dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the summer of 1942, and the Vel d’Hiv round-up with the History in the Present cycle.

We invite you to attend symposia, conferences, meetings, exceptional testimonies of survivors of this round-up of July 16 and 17, 1942, and outdoor screenings in the summer. We also invite you to celebrate with us the extension of the Wall of the Righteous, the Festival of Music, and the 2nd edition of the Generations of the Shoah Forum.

In the face of attempts to falsify history, the Memorial continues, throughout the year 2022, to take several initiatives to recall the historical facts relating to persecution, the deportation and rescue of Jews who lived in France during the Second World War.

As always, our activities aim to preserve and transmit the history of the Holocaust, while showing the consequences of racism and anti-Semitism in history.

I thank you for your support, which allows us to act energetically throughout the year, in Paris, in Drancy, at the Cercil in Orléans, at the Place de Mémoire in Chambon-sur-Lignon, at the Jules-Isaac Cultural Centre in Clermont-Ferrand and throughout France.

We hope to see you at one of these events, either at the Memorial, or online and live on our website and social networks.
