E-STELES: Together, Paris remembers the victims of the Shoah

Wednesday, January 29, 2025, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp, the City Hall of Paris inaugurated the exhibition "Tribute to 20 Parisiennes and Parisiens Jews in the turmoil of the Holocaust: 80 years later, Paris remembers" and announced the launch of the E-STELES website, developed in partnership with the Shoah Memorial and the support of the Paris academy.

This exhibition is the work of several schools invited to choose and present one of the victims, living, studying, working or acting in their district during the Second World War.

Their research and work cover the 20 arrondissements of Paris.

The E-STELES website allows, through a QR code located next to each commemorative stone placed in parks and gardens of the arrondissements, access to an online platform where stories and photos of children arrested in Paris are presented.
