After discovering the Yiddish world and klezmer before the war, children are invited to question the role of this music in daily life. On the other hand, the session allows us to address the arrival to power of the Nazis and the gradual implementation of all forms of artistic expression: music, painting, theater... In this particular context, how have men and women been able to continue to transmit and develop a living Yiddish culture, sometimes at the risk of their own lives? This universe, now disappeared, is reconstructed thanks to music extracts and archival documents.

A writing workshop then allows each child to "put into words" a rediscovered music.

Hosted by Maïa Brami.
