Memory and Cinema is an anthology of film scores on the history of the Shoah more or less known to the general public: Yentl, A Violin on the Roof, Life is Beautiful, Exodus, Schindler’s List, Yiddish Mame, Anne Frank’s Diary, The Passing One of No Worries, The Farewell Concerto, The life ahead of you...
The composers, John Williams, Michel Legrand, or even Nicola Piovani, were able to create a musical universe that remains intact in our memory thanks to the melodies and inflections both soft and passionate violin. The arrangement for violin and piano here brings another meaning to the original score and makes these melodies more intimate while remaining extremely lively and captivating.
