Homosexuals and lesbians in Nazi Europe

For a long time, the fate of the "pink triangles" was taboo and remains little known. Indeed, it was only during the gay and lesbian liberation movement of the 1970s that the subject began to be debated. This exhibition places the persecution of homosexuals under the Nazi regime in a European context, while focusing on the German and French case, from the first homosexual movements at the end of the 19th century to the most recent memorial processes. Life histories bear witness to the heterogeneous fate of homosexual men and women during this period, when they were sometimes also Jewish, resistant, or even sympathizers of the regime.
