During the Second World War, the Manouchian network carried out numerous attacks and acts of sabotage against the Nazi occupier. On 21 February 1944, the members of the organization were executed after a mock trial organized by the German military court. Carried out by the German propaganda services in France, published in 15,000 copies and placarded throughout Paris, the red poster constitutes a major propaganda operation against the Resistance.
