The story of the red poster

affiche rouge exposition Mémorial de la Shoah

During the Second World War, the Manouchian network carried out numerous attacks and acts of sabotage against the Nazi occupiers. On 21 February 1944, the members of the organisation were executed after a show trial organised by the German military court. Carried out by the German propaganda services in France, published in 15,000 copies and plastered throughout Paris, the red poster constitutes a major propaganda operation against the Resistance.
