It is near the Shoah Memorial that the artist C215 drew the radiant face of Simone Veil. To extend this work, the Memorial wished to give him carte blanche by associating his talent as a street artist with the historical events that took place in the streets of Paris on 16 and 17 July 1942, 80 years ago.

Starting on 16 June, the Memorial invites you to discover in the Marais and, more specifically, near the Shoah Memorial, portraits and stories of children who were rounded up in Paris, then deported and murdered at Auschwitz camp.

These portraits stenciled by C215 come from the Children’s Memorial, an emblematic place of the permanent exhibition of the Shoah Memorial, established on the basis of photographs collected by Serge Klarsfeld and the Shoah Memorial.

The tour will culminate in an exhibition presented within the walls of the Shoah Memorial.
