During World War II, the silence surrounding persecution of Jews seemed to signify that Europe had sunk into fear and indifference or collaboration.
Yet in each of the countries concerned, men and women stood up, shocked by the abuses they witnessed. The exhibition "Les Justes de France" was presented at the Shoah Memorial from 9 May to 31 October 2006. The mini-site, created by the Caen Memorial which hosted the exhibition in 2008, retraces the exhibition’s journey.
