The Nuremberg trials

Sixty years ago, on 20 November 1945, the trial of the main leaders of the Nazi regime opened in Nuremberg, Germany. Its exceptional nature, its length (nearly twelve months), the number of accused, the horror and the scale of the crimes committed, have led representatives of the world press to follow the ten months of proceedings, recounting the attitudes of the accused, the verbal duels between the accused and prosecutors, and the conduct of debates.
