After missing his suicide, the office worker Claude Ridder (Claude Rich), is offered by researchers to participate in a time travel experiment that has only been tested until now on mice. The scholars tell him that he will relive a minute of his past, a year earlier. Claude is then placed in a machine. But the experience will go wrong and Claude will lose himself in the past, no longer managing to return to zero point.
