«Je t'aime, I t'aime» by Alain Resnais Screening-debate in Toulouse

After missing his suicide, the office worker Claude Ridder (Claude Rich), is offered by researchers to participate in a time travel experiment that has so far been tested only on mice. Scientists tell him that he will relive a minute of his past, a year earlier. Claude is then placed in a machine. But the experience will go wrong and Claude will lose himself in the past, unable to return to point zero.
