Janina Hescheles was only twelve years old when she escaped from the Janowska concentration camp in Poland in 1943, and she wrote in her notebook what will remain one of the few testimonies of children written at the heart of the Holocaust. The notebook was hidden until its publication in 1946 in Krakow, but it fell into oblivion and was only rediscovered in 2011 in Ukraine. This is the beginning of an editorial adventure all over the world. In six years, the notebook is published in eleven languages, with an epilogue of the author carefully considered. For Janina, the resurrection of her notebook gives a new breath to her fight for peace in Israel.
