To rebuild democratically, Germany must try Nazi criminals. Fritz Bauer, Attorney General of the young Republic, is convinced of this. Despite the opposition and controversies, he initiated a number of trials, the most famous being that of Auschwitz, which took place in Frankfurt. While the FRG confronts for the first time the demons of its history, young Germans discover the crimes of their parents.
In the presence of director Catherine Bernstein and co-author Nicole Bary.
