In 1983, Klaus Barbie wrote his biography in the prison of Montluc. In 180 pages, he retraces his career to the benefit of international secret services, Latin American dictatorships, networks of former Nazis and traffickers in arms, currency and drugs. Thanks to unpublished archives, Barbie’s activities and the complicities he has benefited from are accurately reconstructed. The film finally reveals how a network of former Nazis had planned to break Barbie out of her prison in Lyon before the trial.
