In 1983, Klaus Barbie wrote his biography in the prison of Montluc. In 180 pages, it recounts his journey for the benefit of international secret services, Latin American dictatorships, networks of former Nazis and arms, currency and drug traffickers. Thanks to unpublished archives, the activities of Barbie and the complicities he benefited from are accurately reconstructed. The film finally reveals how a network of former Nazis had planned to make Barbie escape from her prison in Lyon before the trial.
