Why did Roland Smolarz’s father never show the only photo he had of his parents: Meyer and Rachel? Born around 1880 in Russia, they arrived in France around 1910. Meyer was murdered at Auschwitz, and Rachel died of grief in 1945. From a few documents, snippets of family memories and by surveying the places where they lived in Paris and Lithuania, the film attempts to reconstruct their story, in pursuit of two ghosts.
