Bernard Natan, born in Iasi (Romania), arrives in France at the age of 20. In 1927, he inaugurated the Francoeur studios in Montmartre and, 2 years later, became the boss of Pathé Cinéma. Deprived of the French nationality he had obtained for acts of war on the side of France, Bernard Natan was handed over to the German authority by Vichy and deported to Auschwitz in September 1942.
