"My life does not resemble my life", writes Emmanuel Berl (1892-1976). His name evokes anti-bourgeois pamphlets, the weekly Marianne which he directed from 1932 to 1936, but also the messages of Marshal Pétain that he wrote in June 1940: the spectre of Vichy will haunt this Jew of good family for a long time. Pacifist and patriot, Marxist and anticommunist, Maurrassian and Europeanist, Berl has never stopped marrying opposites. With the help of numerous testimonies and rare documents, this biography enriches the "Berl case".
In the presence of Olivier Philipponnat, co-author of the book and Pierre Assouline, journalist and novelist.
Moderated by Jonathan Siksou, journalist at RCJ.
