The Shoah Memorial pays tribute, a few months after his death (26 February 2016), to an exceptional man who fought all his life for equal rights and against all forms of discrimination.

As a survivor of Auschwitz, Charles Palant participated in 1949 in the founding of the Movement against Racism, Anti-Semitism and for Peace (MRAP) which he represented at the National Consultative Commission on Human Rights.
