Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 2:30 PM
On the occasion of the publication of Images clandestines. Metamorphoses d'une mémoire visuelle des "camps", by Ophir Lévy, ed. Hermann, 2016.

Alphaville, 1965, by Jean-Luc Godard. DR.
Since the beginning of the 1960s, archive images and visual motifs related to concentration camps and genocide have appeared in films that have no connection with the Second World War: science fiction, television series, art house cinema, costume films, experimental cinema... What memory and what discourse do these clandestine images convey? This encounter is punctuated by the projection of excerpts.
In the presence of the author and Jean-Loup Bourget, professor of film studies, École normale supérieure, Paris.
